OLAKULEHIN, John Oladapo was born on Saturday, 16th January 1965 in Igboho, Oyo State. He attended Baptist Primary School, Oluwatedo, Oyo, Oyo State (1970-1977) and for his secondary education, he was at Community High School, Fiditi Oyo State (1977-1982). He attended the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife, Osun State where he obtained Bachelor of Agriculture Degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology in 1988. Mr. Olakulehin has two Master’s Degree, one in Information & Communication Management from NOUN and the other in Sociology from the University of Lagos in addition to Diploma in Water Management & Crop Production from Galilee College, Nazareth, Israel.
He started his working career as Agric Officer / Village Extension Worker (VEW) with the World Bank assisted Lagos State Agricultural Development Project in October 2nd 1990 and absorbed into Lagos State Civil Service (Ministry of Agric and Cooperatives) in 1995 when Agricultural Development Project became a schedule parastatal.
Having obtained a solid training in agricultural best practices, Mr. Olakulehin rose through the ranks serving in various Government Departments / Agencies, these include:
Ø Village Extension Agent (Ibeju-Lekki) (Oct 2nd 1990 and 1994), Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority;
Ø Block Agricultural Extension Supervisor (BES), Ikeja, Ojo and Alimoso Blocks (Nov 1994 and March 2001), Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority;
Ø Head of Agricultural Extension Field Activities (HFA) (March 2001 and January 2009) – Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority;
Ø Facilitator, Capacity Building / Training. (January – July 2009) – World Bank assisted Lagos State Commercial Agriculture Development Project;
Ø Training and Technical Assistance Officer – TTAO (2009 – 2015) – World Bank assisted National Fadama Development Project; and
Ø Director of Community Agriculture, Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs (November 2015 – June 2017) and appointed General Manager, Lagos State Coconut Development Authority (LASCODA) in July 2017.

ü Project Officer, Lagos State Cassava Production and Processing Belt Project,
ü Secretary / Extension Expert, Diagnostic survey Team on Benchmark Survey for Coconut Production in Lagos State leading to the establishment of Lagos State Coconut Development Authority (LASCODA),
ü Member, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Team for the FGN / FAO assisted National Special Programme for Food Security (NSPFS) in Lagos State,
ü Member, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Team for FGN / IFAD assisted Root and Tuber Expansion Project (RTEP) in Lagos State,
ü Team Leader, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Team for the Expended Phase of FGN / FAO assisted National Programme for Food Security (NPFS) in Lagos State,
ü Extension Facilitator, FGN/FAO assisted National Special Programme for Food Security (NSPFS) in Lagos State,
ü Production Editor, Lagos Farmer Magazine (a quarterly agricultural magazine of Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority (LSADA),
ü Team Leader, Soil Sampling for the three sites of the FGN/FAO assisted National Special Programme for Food Security (NSPFS) in Lagos State,

He is a member of Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON) and Senior Professional Member of Institute of Information Management – Africa.
Mr. Olakulehin is erstwhile the Director of Community Agriculture, Lagos State Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs before appointed as the general Manager of Lagos State Coconut Development Authority (LASCODA)
He is an authored and co-authored several agricultural specialized reports at National Fadama Development Project (Lagos State Office), Lagos State Agric Development Authority and Ministry of Agriculture
Mr. Olakulehin enjoys reading, writing and watching football. He is married to Oluyinka and both are happy with four children, Todimu, Eniola, Temidayo and Ayodeji.
